An Benefit Overview of WordPress – 1Shoppingcart Integration

WordPress has quickly become one of the most popular CMS platforms used by webmasters today. While it started out as a simple blogging platform, it has quickly blossomed into a feature rich system that allows for a variety of websites and has become a favorite of membership website designers. As with all ecommerce platforms, choosing which shopping cart to integrate is a vital decision. 1Shoppingcart has become a popular choice for WordPress integration because of the many benefits that a webmasters can gain from it.

Benefits of Integrating 1Shoppingcart and WordPress

1. Design Flexibility

One of the best features of 1Shoppingcart is the flexibility in design that webmasters can have, without additional customization. 1Shoppingcart has an easy to use interface that will allow you to consistently and effectively brand yourself from the initial sales steps throughout the entire transaction. You can customize all of your shopping cart pages in regards to both layout and cart options. With the simple user interface, you will be able to customize your headers, footers, order form, and checkout page. You can even add upsell messages to the “view cart” and order form pages.

2. Excellent Security

One of the biggest barriers to getting someone to make a purchase online is making them feel secure. The PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards) have gone a long way in promoting internet security and making consumers feel safe. 1Shoppingcart was one of the first shopping cart softwares to become PCI/CIS certified. Since 1Shoppingcart does not require you to host it, you can avoid the time consuming process of becoming PCI compliant on your own. This also negates the possibility of being at risk of being fined or falling victim to security breaches. 1Shoppingcart offers a variety of additional security benefits such as: regular monitoring and testing, HTTPS/SSL encryption, and a vulnerability management program.

3. Flexible Recurring Billing System

The 1Shoppingcart recurring billing system makes it easy to run WordPress websites that require subscriptions or monthly fees. 1Shoppingcart provides an automated recurring billing system that will auto-bill your customers for you. It also provides the flexibility so that you can set up as many different billing installments and billing cycles that need.

4. Additional Customization

There are a number of other additional customization features that make 1Shoppingcart easy to integrate, yet remain personalized. It offers custom “Thank You” pages, custom colors/logo/background, integrated IP/Credit Card/Email blacklist blocking, and even customizable discount options (including coupons). The best part is that no programming skills are required in order to complete this customization on your own.

Integrating 1Shoppingcart with your WordPress website makes the entire checkout process much simpler. With bolstered payment security, yet a variety of customization options, you can make your customers feel safe, while still promoting your brand. With so many recurring billing options, you can set up exactly what you need with only a few simple clicks. All of these benefits make 1Shoppingcart and WordPress an excellent integration candidate.

Integrating CCBill with WordPress Sites Offers Unique Advantages

CCBill has proven to be an excellent credit card processor for many WordPress websites. Integrating CCBill doesn’t have to be difficult, as long as you are using software that streamlines the process. It allows you to automate the entire credit card processing process, while still ensuring the highest levels of security through rigid fraud checks and screening. CCBill continues to expand and perfect their services which makes them a perfect partner for many WordPress websites.

Benefits of Integrating CCBill with WordPress Websites

There are a number of features that makes CCBill an excellent choice. They offer extremely high performing real-time processing speeds to make sure that your customers are never late waiting around for your products. You will be able to accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and any cards with a Visa or Mastercard logo, such as bank debit/credit cards. They even offer the option of processing payments that have been made over the phone.

CCBill also offers electronic check processing services so that you can accept paperless checks via your website. Using their automated ACH processing services, all paperless checks can be approved within 2 seconds. This ensures that you will always get paid.

CCBill offers a very high level of security that protects both you and your customers. Fraud protection has been integrated throughout the payment processing process and risk management systems have been put into place to help keep everything secure. Their system is always kept up to date with compliance issues from card association regulations and requirements. Since processing echecks creates an added level of risk, CCBill automatically performs additional verification, along with the standard fraud filters, to minimize the chance of fraudulent transactions and returns.

If, for any reason, you need to access CCBill’s support staff, they are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Their staff is a combination of support engineers and operations professionals to make sure that your problem is resolved quickly.

CCBill also offers subscription billing so that you can charge for recurring expenses, such as access to a membership site or online newsletter. All of the data is stored in Visa CISP-certified data centers to eliminate any risk to the merchants. Since all of this is done automatically, merchants decrease the risks associated with human error and ensure a more predictable cash flow for each website.

CCBill has proven to be an effective solution for many WordPress webmasters. Integrating CCBill with WordPress websites has made it easy to sell digital/downloadable products as well as create membership based websites with automatic recurring fees. CCBill also offers the peace of mind that comes with fraud prevention and a high level of automation, to decrease the chances of human error.

5 Reasons to Integrate Paypal Pro With Your WordPress Website

Paypal Pro is a web based application that acts as a virtual terminal to allow you to process payments from your customers. Aside from receiving orders via your website, you can also receive orders by fax, phone, or even by mail. Integrating Paypal Pro with your WordPress website will provide a number of benefits to both you and your customers.

Benefits to Integrating Paypal Pro With Your WordPress Website

1.	All in One Solution

Paypal Pro provides merchants with all of the features that they need in combination with gateway solution. Many other payment alternatives force you to combine an independent merchant account with an independent payment gateway. Paypal Pro allows you to have everything provided by a single source. This means that you do not need to maintain and coordinate separate relationships with multiple merchant bank accounts, gateways, and credit card companies.

2.	Excellent Pricing

One of the reason that Paypal Pro integration has become a popular option is because of the low prices associated with the service. Currently, the monthly fee is only $30, with no gateway fees, downgrade fees, early termination penalties, or statement fees. There is also a comparatively small transaction fee that is based on your monthly transaction totals. When compared to other payment processors, the transaction fees are extremely nominal. Paypal Pro, on average, is 16% less expensive than other credit card processors.

3.	Streamlined Administration

One of the most time consuming tasks when dealing with a merchant account and payment gateway is the back-end/office duties. When you integrate Paypal Pro with your WordPress website, you get easy to read reports, including transaction details, profit/loss statements, and monthly sales. You can also manage all of your recurring billings and even search previous transactions for specific sales and customers.

4.	Fraud Protection

One of the biggest problems with managing separate merchant accounts, credit card processors, and payment gateways is fraud protection. This is especially true if ever have a problem, because every party involved will say that another party is responsible. When you integrate your WordPress website with Paypal Pro, you get automatic fraud screening and address/card verification checks. There are also an additional 17 advanced fraud management filters that can be used to weed out high risk transactions.

5.	Premium Support

Paypal Pro offers a variety of different support features to make sure that everything runs smoothly. Not only do they offer phone support, email support, developer support, help center, and online virtual support, but they also offer dedicated account managers for accounts that process more than $50,000 a month. Not only do you get support for the entire payment process, but can access it in a variety of ways.

Integrating Paypal Pro with WordPress websites is a growing trend that seems to only be getting popular. With so much functionality available from one source, shouldn’t be very surprising. The ability to process recurring payments automatically, has made Paypal Pro especially popular for websites that have products which require recurring fees and subscriptions.

Membership plugins often boast of their great features, better functionality, and unlimited support. Among these are the Magic Members and Wishlist Member plugins. These premium WordPress plugins are especially designed to attract users to register or subscribe to the blogs, forums, and high quality content within the membership site.

So which WordPress Membership plugin is better?

Pricing. Wishlist Member plugin costs $97 for a single license and $297 for a multi-site license. Magic Members plugin costs $97 for a single license and $297 for an unlimited license.

Sequential Course Delivery System. Wishlist Member plugin has a Sequential Course Delivery System, but Magic Members plugin has a seamless Drip Feed feature which is better.

AutoResponder Integrations – While Wishlist Member is integrated with only AWeber, Magic Members is integrated with AWeber, MailChimp and GetResponse auto responders..

Pay Per Post. Wishlist Member plugin does not have a pay per post option. Magic Members has a pay per post option which allows the user to pay one or several posts instead of a full membership fee. Because of that, you can still earn some money from readers who want to limit how much they spend. If they see that they have no other options other than paying for the whole deal, they will be turned off and walk away leaving you with no benefit from the situation.

Payment Gateways. Wishlist Member plugin and Magic Members plugin both uses several payment gateways such as PayPal and ClickBank. But if you’re using PayPal Pro, Authorize.net, Epoch or WorldPay for quick and secured transaction processing, you can count on Magic Members to be integrated with these payment gateways. On the other hand, Wishlist Member plugin does not include Authorize.net or WorldPay as options for its payment gateways. As far as we know, Magic Members will be integrated with 1Shoppingcart, CCBill, InfusionSoft in the next release.

Unlimited Coupon Creation. Magic Members plugin has a fixed price or a percent discount for current and new subscription. Wishlist Member plugin doesn’t have this feature.

Final Desicion:

Both WordPress Membership plugins have very good content management system, membership privileges, and subscription perks. However Magic Members plugins is the winner. Magic Members has a really clean design that makes setting up a membership site incredibly easy

RBS WorldPay, Accept Credit Card Payments

Setup Fee: 100 GBP
Monthly fee: n/a per month.
Transaction charge: 7.50%on the value of all transactions e.g. credit and charge cards.

Credit and debit card processing systems operate the same way the world over.
This description lays out the basics of payment processing. It also helps you appreciate the charges and risks involved in accepting payments.
1. Collecting payment data

Payment details are entered into the payment device or system. They could be entered by a call centre operator, read by a card-reader or entered directly into an internet page.
2. Authentication

Details of the purchase, details from the card and the PIN are sent through to RBS WorldPay. We identify the relevant card scheme (Visa, MasterCard etc.) and send the details through them to the bank or other institution that issued the card.

If the details can’t be verified, the payment is normally declined and the shopper or payee is asked to use another type of payment.
3. Authorisation

The issuing bank checks the cardholder’s identity, that the account has sufficient funds and that the card hasn’t been reported lost or stolen. If everything is OK, the issuing bank authorise the amount requested and reserve those funds. Once the payment transaction is complete, we send a follow-up instruction to the bank to debit the funds.
4. Settlement of funds

Your RBS WorldPay merchant account is credited with the value of the card transaction within four working days (depending on the card issuing bank and your agreement with us).

Every month, we’ll send you a merchant statement which details the transactions processed, and how much you’ve paid for each transaction.

PPCalc, as I call it, is a free web-based tool that allows people to calculate what their PayPal fees would be to receive a certain amount or to reverse calculate their fees to determine what amount a person would have to send them for them to receive a certain amount after fees. This tool has actually been around a while. I originally wrote it back in May of 2005 as a way of learning HTML and Javascript for the first time. Back then it was very primative, crudely designed, and only supported a single fee rate. I’ve since improved it vastly and learned more about writing cleaner, more efficient HTML and Javascript code in the process.

Program Version;

http://www.rolbe.com/ppcalc2.2.zip

Visit PPCalc version 4.0 (January 26, 2009)

With this new re-design I decided to go for a more simplistic approach. I opted for a centered, fixed-width design, with large fonts and text boxes so that people could easily see and enter their amounts. I also completely eliminated the Calculate and Clear buttons, because both are unneccassary if you can have your fees calculated “on-the-fly” as you type. Also, rather than including built-in fee rates, where you would select your source country, destination country, and monthly sales volume from a drop-down list and the calculator would tell you your fee rate, I decided it would be easier just to include a large editable textbox that included the default fee rate for each country and a “help me decide” link that leads to PayPal’s fee page. That way people can easily find their fee rate on the official PayPal.com fees page if they don’t know.

To accomodate people from other countries I placed flag icons underneath the editable fee rate box. If you click on one of these flag icons the default fee rate for that country is loaded into the calculator. So for example, if you are from Australia, all you have to do is click on the Australia flag and your default fee rate of 2.4% + $0.30 AUD is loaded into the calculator. If you have amounts already entered in, the new fee rate is instantly reflected in them as well. From a usability perspective I think this is a lot easier than having to open and sift through a drop-down list of 100+ countries trying to find the country you’re looking for.
